† The diagnosis is not the point

Scripture is unnervingly accurate about people, but it was never written to leave you convicted and alone with a list. Naming what is wrong is the setup, not the message.

† What actually happened

God became a person. Jesus lived the life you keep failing to live, died a public execution he did not deserve, and took the record you were hoping nobody would pull up. Three days later he walked out of the grave, which is either the most important fact in history or nothing at all. It does not have a middle setting.

† What that means for the thing you clicked on

You do not have to earn your way out of the pattern. The verdict was handed down and served. That is why these entries never end in try harder. You get a new record and then a new power to live differently, in that order, never the reverse.

† How people start

Not with a performance, with honesty.

Jesus, I have been running my own life and it is not working. I believe you died for me and came back. I am done pretending. Take it from here.

It is not a magic formula and it will not make you a better person by lunchtime. It is the start of a relationship, and relationships are conducted out loud.

† Then what

• Read — start with the Gospel of Mark, shortest of the four. One chapter is about four minutes.
• Tell someone — one person, out loud, because faith kept entirely private tends to evaporate.
• Find a room — a church where the Bible actually gets opened and people know your name. Visit three before deciding, and look for honesty rather than production value.

† If you are not there

That is genuinely fine. Nothing here is a trap, and the translations work as plain observation about how people operate. Read them, use them, share the ones that land. The door does not close.
